The need for a lighthouse on the ledge was clear. Many ships wrecked on the rocks and the reefs nearby. WebThis lighthouse is a sibling of the Stamford Harbor Light in Connecticut. In 2008 the lighthouse became available for transfer under NHLPA ; when no groups qualified for ownership the lighthouse was sold to Scott Phillips, the owner of a financial services company, in August 2010 for $225,000.
